Textile Technology is a dynamic and rapidly evolving field that focuses on the design, development, and application of textile materials and processes. The Textile Technology department at Sri Sowdambika Polytechnic, established in 1984, is dedicated to providing students with a strong foundation in both theoretical knowledge and practical skills. The Department has shown steady growth. Aruppukottai is a textile based town with full of job opportunities for the students who finish Diploma in the Textile Technology. The department has fully equipped laboratories, training and practice for the students. Students in this department learn about various aspects of textile technology, including fiber properties, yarn formation, fabric construction, and textile processing.
